It may be winter in Chicago but that doesn't mean that outdoor activities need to stop. And one of my favorite outdoor activities during winter is the Snow Days at the Navy Pier. It was also very nice to spend some time outdoors considering that, just a few days prior, we've had daytime temperatures in the teens and night time temperatures in the single digits; during the Snow Days, the temperatures were at a "warm" 32F.
These are some of the photos that I took last January 26...
The wife and I met some friends also. We had a great time spending time walking around admiring the beautiful sculptures.
And when nighttime came, the ice sculptures were lit making the displays beautifully surreal.
I am looking forward to the next Snow Days at the Navy Pier, but, there are still a lot more things to do before this winter is over. And summer cannot be too far behind... :)
